How to Reheat Pizza in the Air Fryer

    Published: Oct 28, 2024 · Modified: Feb 18, 2025 by Jenny · 1 Comment

Are you looking at a leftover slice of pizza and asking yourself can you reheat pizza in an air fryer? The good news is, yes, you can, and it’s super easy! In just a few minutes, you can revive a cold pizza slice into something hot, cheesy and delicious. I love using my air fryer to bring leftover pizza back to life. I’ve even used it to warm up a pizza that’s been delivered.

Why Use an Air Fryer to Reheat Pizza?

There’s nothing quite like a fresh slice of pizza — crisp crust, gooey cheese and tasty toppings. However, knowing the best way to reheat pizza can sometimes be a challenge. Microwaving often leaves it soggy, and the oven can take too long. But with an air fryer, you can quickly and easily bring leftover pizza back to life. The rapid air circulation of an air fryer crisps up the pizza crust while evenly heating the toppings so you can enjoy your favourite slice in next to no time.

How to reheat pizza in air fryer

Step 1: Arrange the pizza slices

Place your leftover pizza slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Ensure they do not overlap so that each slice gets even heat and crispiness. You may need to do this in batches if you're reheating multiple slices.

Step 2: Air fry the pizza slices for 3-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the crust and the toppings. If you have a reheat setting, you can use this. Otherwise, choose the air fry setting and set it to 175C (350F).

    Step 3: Serve and enjoy

Once the pizza is reheated, carefully remove the slices from the air fryer. Let it cool for a minute, then enjoy.

Tips for reheating pizza in the air fryer

Thicker crusts: For thicker crusts or deep-dish pizza, you might need to add an additional minute to the cooking time to ensure the slices are heated all the way through.

Fresh toppings: I sometimes sprinkle freshly grated cheese or dried herbs on the pizza slices to give them a fresh touch before reheating.

Only reheat once: Follow good food hygiene when reheating pizza. Store leftover pizza in the fridge until you’re ready to reheat, and only reheat once.
