Take the beef join out of the fridge and bring it to room temperature (around 20-30 minutes before cooking).
Rub the beef all over with the olive oil. Combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder and herbs in a small bowl and then rub the mixture all over the beef.
Give your joint an initial hot blast by cooking on air fry at 220C (420F) for five minutes.
Reduce the temperature to 170C (335F), then cook for a further 30 minutes (for medium-rare beef) or 40 minutes for medium-well-done beef.
Carefully remove the beef to a board, cover loosely with kitchen foil and leave to rest for around 30 minutes before serving.
