Homemade garlic bread is the ultimate side dish. This easy method uses a ready-made baguette, so you can enjoy crispy, garlicky, buttery indulgence in no time.
Place butter in a small bowl and mash with a fork.
Add the two cloves of crushed garlic, along with the oregano and chilli flakes plus a pinch of salt and pepper to the bowl and combine with the softened butter.
Take a piece of clingfilm and place the butter into the middle. Roll up the clingfilm and shape the butter into a fat sausage shape then chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Once the butter has chilled, remove from the fridge and slice into rounds.
For the bread
Take your baguette or loaf and cut slices ¾ of the way through the bread (be careful not to slice all the way through.
Place a round of butter into each of the cuts you have made.
Wrap the loaf in greaseproof paper and cook in the air fryer for 5 minutes on the air fryer setting at 180C (360F). The garlic bread is ready when the butter has melted into the bread.
